| Smoke Eaters Ok I have had it. I no longer want to go outside in the blowing snow in order to enjoy my favorite passion. do any of you know of a smoke eater that would suffice for a single small room and would pretty much keep the whole house from smelling like cigars. i wouldn't mind that, but my family...not so hot on the idea. |

| I don't know of anything that is really effective for smoke. Even the whole-house filtration systems I have read about are not that great at removing smoke. Air purifiers (I have two Oreck units) are essentially worthless for filtering smoke. Another problem is that smoke tends to permeate soft surfaces in your house, like the cloth in drapes and furniture, and it lingers for a long time. I have the same problem as you, except that my biggest enemy is heat. The outside temperatures where I live can sometimes approach 120 degrees in the summer. My solution for that is to go to a cigar lounge as often as I can. Last edited by orca99usa : 06-01-2008 at 10:50 PM. |
