Monte Cristo No 2

Tried one of these tonight. These are one of my favorites, and this one was from 95. A truly great cigar. Very full bodied, and a lot of flavor. You get that full body strength, but can also pick out the various flavors -- a bit of chocolate, cinnamon, and spice. There is kind of a cedary smell and taste (not that I know what cedar tastes like, LOL).

I love the bean flavor of the monte cristo, almost like a blend of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. They say 2003 was one of the best years, have not come across one yet from that year.

Yeah, 2003 was definitely one of the best years for Montecristo.

Is there any way of telling what year the cigar is that you have? I was just given a Montecristo Cuban cigar...is there any way to tell what year it is from the band? Or do I need information from the box?

Usually the year of production can be found on the bottom of the box more likely than not a cigar bought in 2007 would've been packaged in 2006.
