Kaizad Hansotia’s Gurkha

Please post your review on Kaizad Hansotia’s Gurkha. It has a suggested retail price of $750 per cigar. It is a Dominican cigar of 7 1/2-inches by 52-ring that is supposedly infused with Louis XIII Cognac.

You are referring to His Majesty Reserve.

I have not been able to afford the HMR and probably never will. I have enjoyed the Grand Reserve (infused for 30 days) with Louis XIII, which was about $15.00 from the local B&M. In fact this cigar was one what I smoked and got me back in to cigars. What I will say, is that it offered some of the creamiest smoke I have ever experienced. The one downfall is that opening the tube is one of the most offensive (in my opinion) smells, just because the cigar has been encased in the sweet cognac for so long. Once out and smoking though....wow!

I have also had the pleasure of smoking the Royal Salute (infused for 90 days). I really had a problem smoking this one, because at $45.00, I was holding back tears. It was even creamier. Again....wow!

That having been said, once I started smoking the "natural" cigars, I have found a complete lack of desire to smoke the infused cigars. They were great and I will get one or two more to keep on hand for an extra special occasion, but for now, I just don't have the desire.

I would like to hear a first hand account of someone who has smoked the HMR.

Jim

I'm afraid that I will probably never be able to afford this cigar.
