Does anyone here know the origin of wine?

There is empirical evidence that suggests that winemaking began in the Neolithic Period but there is still debate over where and by whom. You might want to Google history of wine to get further information.

Wine, an alcoholic beverage made from grapes, was probably first made about 7,000 years ago. Archaeological evidence of wine-making is a little difficult to come by, of course; the presence of grape seeds, fruit skins, stems and/or stalks in an archaeological site does not necessarily imply the production of wine. Whether the grapes have been cultivated or not may be inferred from the morphological changes in the seeds.
