| buying online cigars hi all, first, it's great to be here and i hope to learn much more about one of my favorite vices. most of my cuban experience is from buying sticks in mexico (a friend pointed me to reputable sources) and nervously bringing back home. unfortunately, i don't make to mexico that often. i was unable to find restrictions for posting, so if any ?'s are out of line please let me know. i have a few ?'s about buying cubans online i hope y'all can help me with. -are the larger, seemingly well known sites really selling cubans? (i would like to ask about some specific sites, but don't know if that's a no-no; can i ask somehow about a specific site?) -what are the odds an unopened box with all seals intact and apparently real (uv, watermark, etc.) is not counterfeit? i have other ?'s but don't want to wear out my welcome on the first post. hope to learn much. thanks....... grasshopper |

| online cubans One problem might stem from where you live. If you happen to live in a country that has an embargo on cuban cigars, your options may be limited if you get a box of phonies. What are you going to do, call the police. I suppose that, in theory, the thing to do would be to at least make sure you are ordering from a licensed Habanos dealer. MF |

very true. i'm just trying to find out opinions on which dealers people think are legit. i just ordered from one, a nice but inexpensive box, and it seems OK, but the way cigars are packaged (boxes aren't sealed and the cuban stamp can be peeled and restuck w/o any signs it was removed) i can see a way to replace the contents w/o much evidence if it. i would like to ask about specific vendors, but don't know if it's allowed. if someone would allow me to PM them and ask in private (or tell me it's OK to ask in the forum) it would be great. as it happens, i do live in such a country and don't intend to try and respond, but if i can find a vendor people say is honest, then i shouldn't have to worry about that. anyone i can ask?? can i ask about specific vendors?? (and get an answer) thanks. |

| online cigar shops Of course I would never order contraband cigars myself, but I know a guy who has had good luck with this place www.nlcigars.com |
